Role Summary
Brief Overview:
The Performance Analyst supports the coaching staff at the FIFA Talent Academy by providing comprehensive performance analysis from matches and training. This role plays a crucial part in tactical planning and player development by delivering actionable insights based on data and video analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed performance analysis of matches and training sessions.
- Provide pre-, live-, and post-match opposition analysis.
- Film training sessions and matches using camcorders and AI camera systems.
- Maintain and manage video recording equipment and procedures.
- Create and deliver performance presentations for individual players and groups.
- Develop dashboards and visual tools to communicate performance insights.
- Organise and maintain a secure and searchable video archive.
- Interpret internal and external data, and create meaningful visualizations for staff and players.
- Collaborate with the academy staff and players to implement the Athlete Management System.
- Provide assistance to the TDS Scouting team as and when needed.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by AIFF from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Degree and certificate (or in progress) in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in analysis tools like Hudl SportsCode, Focus SBG, Studio, and Keynote.
- Skilled in data visualization software (Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience using performance data platforms (e.g., Statsbomb, Opta, Wyscout).
- Strong understanding of football tactics.
- Experience in a high-performance sports environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coaching certifications or football-specific qualifications.
- Previous experience presenting analysis in a team setting.

Working Conditions
Physical Demands:
- May involve standing for extended periods during filming.
- Occasional lifting and setup of video equipment (cameras, tripods, etc.).
Travel Requirements:
- Regular travel is required for away matches and training camps.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on match schedules.
Work Environment:
- Primarily on-site within training grounds and stadium facilities.
- Fast-paced and dynamic football environment requiring adaptability.
